HAND PRINTS / MIND PRINTS

As a part of its immersions into the artistic and cultural linkages between India and the UK, IBSA members enjoyed an exploration of 70 years of printmaking by the celebrated artist Gulammohammad Sheikh titled Hand Prints/Mind Prints at Tri Art & Culture on 30th July 2026, an exciting space for innovative artistic and sensory experiences.

A recipient of ARCA from the Royal College of Art, London Sheikh’s printmaking journey took us from traditional formats to more innovative contemporary digital outputs and his Accordian Books. Greatly influenced by Ebstorf maps while in the UK, the artist displayed his Mappa Mundi series where he uses maps as metaphors, questioning colonial borders, memory and geo-political themes.

This private viewing and curated walk-through was organised by Ms Madeleine St John, Director of TRI and Ms Muskan Sukarchakia, Assistant Curator TRI exclusively for IBSA members and guests.
