An exclusive, power-packed evening at the British Council brought award-winning natural history filmmaker Ashwika Kapur to the stage, sharing her behind-the-scenes stories from the wild alongside a heartfelt tribute to Sir David Attenborough on 19th June, 2026.

The event celebrated Attenborough’s 100th year, honouring his towering legacy in natural history filmmaking. Ashwika also spoke passionately about Catapults to Cameras, her project with children from wildlife hunting communities in West Bengal, transforming would-be hunters into young conservationists.

Curated by the British Council and IBSA, the evening featured Ashwika in conversation with Debanjan Chakrabarti, Director, British Council East and Northeast India.
