CELEBRATING TAGORE AND THE UK CONNECT: ECHOES OF HARMONY
Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated jointly by British Council and IBSA on the evening of 15 May, 2026 through Echoes of Harmony: Tagore in UK.
Recitation, narration, songs and music mesmerised a packed hall at the British Council with an eclectic audience drawn from all walks of life! Curated by Korak Basu along with a talented ensemble of singers and performers – Pradip Dutta, Rinadolon Bandopadhya, Subrata Babu Mukherjee and Anjan Bandopadhyay, the evening featured deeply moving recitations by Swati Gautam and Ipsita Ganguli.
The programme concluded with a rendition of Purano Shei Diner Kotha, inspired by Robert Burns, symbolising a shared cultural memory and timeless human connection.
