Indo British Heritage Cup 2024
The friendly match being played between India in UK represented by Indo-British Scholars Association (IBSA) and Bengal Heritage Foundation (BHF) and the UK in India comprising of British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata and the British Council was a celebration of friendship, sportsmanship and shared heritage between India and UK. The India in UK team delivered a stellar performance, securing a well-deserved victory and lifting the Indo-British Heritage Cup 2024.
This year’s tournament stood out not only for the remarkable cricketing spirit but also for its historic strides toward inclusivity and diversity. For the very first time, the match featured special women umpires, Rakhi Das and Vineeta Roy Moulik, whose precision and expertise brought an added layer of excellence to the game. Adding to the momentous occasion were brilliant women commentators as well, Nilanjana Chatterjee and Annesha Ghosh, whose insightful and dynamic commentary kept the audience captivated throughout the match.
IBSA members and their families got a visual treat to watch the match from the B.C Roy clubhouse gallery.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Nicco Parks for being the lunch sponsor and Kreamz – an Aditya Group Venture for providing the snack boxes for players and guests.
On this occasion IBSA donated 3 cricket kits to underprivileged under 19 State level players selected by CAB.
Thanks to all the stakeholders and partners for making the Indo-British Heritage Cup 2024 a grand success.
