REMEMBRANCE DAY - 13TH NOVEMBER, 2022
Remembrance Sunday on 13th November is held every year on second Sunday of November, to pay tribute to all those who laid down their lives for peace and freedom in the two World Wars and the subsequent conflicts.
As in every year British Deputy High Commission organised the Remembrance Sunday Commemoration at the Cenotaph at Kolkata Maidan on 13th November, 2022, where Government of West Bengal, Indian Armed Forces, Kolkata/W.B. Police, Ex-Servicemen Association, Consular Corps, and IBSA were invited. IBSA was represented by its President – Subrata Paul and Secretary – Saptarshi Kar.
The guests were addressed by the British Deputy High Commissioner and representative of the Indian Army. A two minute silence was observed at 11.00am followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the monument and a wreath was placed on behalf of IBSA.
